The Magic of Meditation!πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ§˜πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ

Years ago I struggled with meditation, IΒ  was too stressed to take the time out to do it, which is a contradiction in itself because that is the very time I needed to do it!

About 5 years ago I carved out the time in my day and started meditating daily and committing to it. πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈπŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ

It has changed my life in more ways than one. I do it as I wake after I practice gratitude and either choose free meditation or guided.Β  Meditation can be done in many forms, even practising gratitude or closing your eyes and being still for a few minutes and letting your thoughts flow is meditating. Deep breathing is meditating.

The benefits are:

βœ…πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈIt calms the β€˜fight or flight’ which is our sympathetic nervous system and brings us more into our parasympathetic nervous system which helps us to rest and relax.

βœ…πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ In this state it is so much more beneficial for us and where we are more creative, innovative and we can think more clearly and focus better.

βœ…πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈResearchers have shown it lowers risk of depression.

In general it creates a better balance in our lives.

It is the most peaceful part of my day so get meditating and reap the benefits!πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈπŸ§˜πŸ§˜β€β™‚οΈ
