Improving yourself is the first step to improving everything else in your life. If you want your life to get better then you have to get better first. If you want your marriage or business to get better, you got to work on yourself first.
We all know someone who we feel needs to be fixed or needs to work on themselves but when you point the finger there are 3 pointing back at you. ‘Before I work on you, I gotta work on myself’.
Improvement forces us out of our comfort zone. Growth demands a temporary surrender of security.
As John Maxwell says ‘The people who do not grow are unwilling to leave what they have known and practised. They are not willing to be wrong so they can discover what is right so they cling to right and their lives turn out wrong.’
By making a daily commitment to being open to change and having the ‘Intention’ to allow change to happen is key.
