Self Sabotage what does it mean and how can you remedy it?

Self sabotage is where we don’t get out of our own way or we hold ourselves back.

These are three areas where we sabotage ourselves:

1.Blaming others – when we blame others we are playing the victim role and don’t take responsibility.

Remedy for this is to –

a) Take responsibility for your part in the situation and

b) Admit your wrongdoing.

2.Having a lack of understanding of others. We all have insecurities and peculiarities and these can cause misunderstandings.

Remedy for this is to –

a) seek to understand more and listen more attentively.

b) Find the key to their life and the benefits they bring.

c) give them encouragement.

3.Lack of Focus. We have 37 discretionary hours in the week where we are not sleeping or eating or working so use those hours wisely for rest, recreation and personal growth.

Remedy is to –

a) Focus on making every minute count!

b) look at opportunities

c) Look at the gifts you have in your life and embrace them!
